Msn emoticons/smileys dont appear any more?

The emoticons in messenger dont appear for me anymore? I mean i can pick them from the list but they just appear as text like :-) or ^o).


Anyone know how to fix this?


I tried updating to the new version but it still happens....

Reply:- Login to MSN Messenger


- Goto 'Tools %26gt; Options' menu.


- Goto 'Messages' Tab on the left.


- Make sure "Show Emotions" are ticked.
Reply:if you have msn beta this may be the problem





or it could be that you haven't ticked the emoticons box on options
