Msn emoticons not showing?

I have a new laptop so my collection of emoticons from messenger on my old computer,are gone. :( Im trying to add new ones but when people try send me them to copy They dont show.Even the basic ones such as :( or :p dont show up!I downloaded messenger plus,any idea why I cant use emoticons?

if using WLM 2009 or 9.0 beta3 it is a wellknown unfixable bug ..in this case wait til they fix it or uninstall WLM and reinstall wlm 8.5

once started search in the programs list for "(All Users) Windows Live Messenger [14.0.5027.0908]"


mark it with a mouse click, then click on the 'remove' button'

Reply:You need to go into preferences on MSN messenger window and look for emoticons and change the setting. It is more than likely not showing because it's on off.
