When I type the emoticon it doesnt come up. I have to open the list and select from there. Before if I typed haha, a little emoticons laughing showed up. Do you have any ideas why is this happening? Thank you
I downloaded the msn messenger beta and I love it but I can see my emoticons when I type them?
Open a conversation window with any one of your contacts, click on the emoticon icon and go to show all. Select the emoticon you wish you fix and click modify. Where it says "Keyboard Shortcut" change the shortcut to "haha" (without the quotations). Now when you say something like "that's funny haha you're a laugh riot" the word "haha" will be replaced with the emoticon.
If you DON'T want this to happen every time you say "haha" but you would like to easily be able to access that emoticon, just put brackets around it in the Keyboard Shortcuts field like this "(haha)" (without quotations again) and then typing the same phrase above "that's funny haha you're a laugh riot (haha)" would show the text the first time, and the emoticon the second time.
