I've seen people talk about how to find them on XP but Vista is different. I've tried doing what they say to do and it doesn't work. I hate Vista, but I don't know how to get it off of my laptop and switch to XP. I was just wondering if it was possible to take all the emoticons from one computer and put them on another. Thanks for your help:)
Where do my msn emoticons save to on Windows Vista?
it is possible! i did it today.. well the emoticons are stored in my pc in a folder that is named "custom emoticons" where to find it?
1st way: go to ur local disk %26gt; users %26gt; "your user" %26gt; app data %26gt;
local %26gt;microsoft %26gt; messenger %26gt; "a folder that is called as YOUR email is" %26gt; object store %26gt; custom emoticons
2nd way : you go to ur pc "search" and search (in advanced search) the word "object" in your local disk clicking the option "include non indexed system and hidden files"
the search engine will find a folder named object store . inside is the folder with ur emoticons
TO SAVE YOUR EMOTICONS:
1-you have to make sure you found the folder object store contained in a folder who's name is YOUR e-mail adress.
2-copy the content of the folder or the whole folder in a cd , flashdisk etc.
3- after formating your pc and reinstalling the messenger you will find the new "custom emoticon" folder in your local disk an d paste in it the content of the folder you saved.
do not worry if the files in the folder have strange names like.. +gQxrSAbFlavisAVcNCVAkxEkig=.id2
i have the 8.5 messenger edition. and also have msn plus live extension installed . and the english version of 64xvista business operating system :)
