How to get rid of emoticons in msn but still use custom ones?

i want to get rid of some of those annoying emoticons buh keep some.

select the following ..remove..and so on


finally click on

Reply:this is easy to do but takes abit of time.





all those emoticons are stored in the show all.. part of the emoticon popup. what you do is select each one and either remove it, or choose modify. Now there is two ways to modify.


1. put brackets each side of the code and click save. Now that emoticon will not appear unless you type the brackest with it.





Eg original emoticon - bye , modified emoticon (bye)


2. the other way is instead of adding brackets add afull stop.


Eg original emoticon - bye , modified emoticon bye.





Just do this to some of the ones that makes reading difficult. When you want to use them you go and find them in show all...





Open a message window (eg to an offline person)


click the yellow emoticon face above where you type %26gt;show all.


as you select one, the remove/modify menu is available.


if you double click the emoticon, it goes into the message.
Reply:You can't do that, sadly. You have to have 'normal' emotions enabled to see custom ones.
