How to make custom msn emoticons larger? ?
hi, i have a picture of a cats face! when i add it to msn emoticons it goes VERY small so no one can see it!.. but other ppl have emoticons which appear larger! for e.g mines a quater of the size of a 5 pence peace and theres are the size of a 5 Pence peace. does any one know what i have to do to get the emoticon to appear a little larger? i have tryed increaseing the size of the image but no luck :(

Next time try to save the emoticon images in a larger size in the first place.
But if it's too large you can't put it as an emoticon.

Once you download new msn emoticons how do you use them in msn?
click on the smileys button and click "more smileys", if the smiley you're looking for isn't already in there, there should be a button on the right to "create" a new smiley, click it and use it to open the smiley that you wanted.. once you do this the first time its automatically a smiley for you to use

Most likely it's not her laptop. She should try to uninstall MSN and then resinstall it. That usually solves this problem.

I'm getting a collection and would love to remove the dupes and rubbish ones (and possibly redefine a lot of keyboard shortcuts), but its such a hassle doing it in msn.

Where are the emoticons that I use in msn messenger stored?
Strangely enough, all of the custom emoticons I have are not available when I use another account diferent from the other one I used to add the emoticon. I suppose there is a place where they are stored, soy that I can go there and "add" the emoticons in the other account, or pass them to another computer I also use. Is there such location? can I do that? or how can I have all of the emoticons I used when I sign in in another computer?

custom icons are only available for the account they were created or copied with
they have to be here

they have the extention .DAT, so rename them to .JPG
you also use a programme to save your icons and then pass them to the other account

When we are chatting with someone on MSN and we save an emoticon that somebody sent, in which folder in my computer has the file been stored? I have 2 MSN accounts in my computer and I want to import the emoticons from an account to the other, but I don't know where they have been saved. Anyone out there knows?

Why did ALL the emoticons on MSN Messenger suddenly stop working?
All outgoing and incoming emotions (smilies) just show up as the number/letter symbols that are assigned to them. even if i press on a msn emoticon, from the emoticon window, it becomes symbols.
apparently they're all received correctly on the other end.

Make sure that it is MSN Messenger that you are using and not the Windows Messenger. They are very similar. Also make sure that your MSN is completely up to date(they just put another update out)

How do I stop MSN messenger from resizing my custom emoticons?
I'm using .gifs, 52x41 images, with a render on a transparent background. Every time I "Browse..." for an image, and select my custom emoticon, and upload it, it makes it like 10x10 or 16x16, without asking me if I'd like it to do so. Help, please?

I'm not exactly sure since when, or how it happened, but lately I haven't been able to see emoticons on MSN, they only come out as text. if I go to My Emoticons and use one of them it does appear in the message box but once I send it it goes back to text. I've had the latest msn for a while now, and it wasn't a problem before.

How do you copy and paste special emoticons from the internwt onto your msn window? ?
Have you got normal msn? if so you just copy the emotion from the page. or save it into your pictures then go into your pictrues and copy it from there.
then paste on your msn.
